Sending A Drunk Text Whilst Sober

After months of secrecy, whispers and cloak & daggers I am beyond excited and proud to be able to announce my debut poetry collection Sending A Drunk Text Whilst Sober is set for release this April through Plastic Brain Press! Inside you'll find poetry that covers the first four years of my career, a forward written by Genevieve L Walsh and beautiful cover work by Rob Benson and Richard Daniels. This has been a long time coming and it's still sinking in that this is an actual thing! (the proof copy looked amazing and I'm sure you're all going to love it) The launch date is set for April 13th at Crash Course In Brain Surgery. ALSO!!! If you wish to review the collection, please drop me an e

Open Mics To Open Mouths

Two new poetry nights launched in two weeks and it feels so good to know there is emerging talent in my home town and my home city. I can't lie, it was a nervous couple of nights because you don't know who or how many people are going to turn up, but to see people come and support something new was heart-warming. So on to this weekend and the Rhubarb Festival in Wakefield. Truth Be Told have been extremely fortunate in been able to bring the public three events over the weekend (details over on the Upcoming page) and I'm excited to showcase the New Voices section on Friday. If you're around the festival this weekend, I might see you around!

Filling February Then Dividing

Wow, Those last couple of weeks of January were announcement central! From two new open mic nights to the Rhubarb Festival towards the end of the month as well, things are shaping up to be busy in this short month. The big one though was the announcement for Long Division 2018. It's an absolute honour to have been asked by the festival to curate a full stage of poetry during the main day and I'm excited to reveal who's going to be gracing the stage over the coming weeks. Oh by the way, there's still something else to be announced in the very near future. THE big one.
