Lieder Me There

What an absolute pleasure Leeds Lieder 2018 was!

First things first, a round of applause to each and every poet and composer team that have worked so hard to produce wonderful and unique Lieder pieces for the 2018 festival. From poetry on homelessness, loss, iron, otters and regrets, there was so much range and scope in both words and music.

When the opportunity comes to apply for next year, please do so as you won't regret it.

Over the last 5 months, myself and Graeme Law cunningly crafted a political satire that we had too much fun bringing to life. I completely take my hat off the wonderful skills of Emi See on the piano and to Olivia Singleton with her wonderful voice.

It was the most surreal experience to hear my own work transformed and delivered in such an abstract form (to me) but I loved every second of the performance.
